Our Story

We are the Kro family.

We have four sons who are the light of our lives. We LOVE parenthood, with all of its ups and downs.

Our fourth son, Elias Bekk, was born October 6, 2024 at home. His life was one written by God.

In January 2024, I (Brooke) found out I was pregnant. In the fall of 2023 we had been praying that I would get my cycle back in order to conceive. After a few months, God blessed us with another baby. We did a blood test online to find out we were having a GIRL! Syke! Our anatomy scan proved that to be wrong. We were definitely having a baby boy. God quickly convicted me, when I felt disappointed, and told me to look up the name we had already chosen for a baby boy, Elias. Elias means "The Lord is God." I felt the Lord tell me not to question Him because He had a plan for my son.

October came around and every single prayer I prayed for this birth was fulfilled. God showed me the power of redemption through Elias.

Nine weeks and three days later, on an ordinary Monday, our lives were forever shaken. I laid Elias down for a nap, and when I went in to check on him I found him not breathing... dead. I called 911 and proceeded to give him CPR. Despite their efforts, Elias died that day.

We are living a nightmare, a journey that no parent ever wants to walk.

This day forever changed our perspective on parenthood. We believed our children were gifts from God, but we often parented distracted, rushed, and exhausted. We now know that each moment, even the mundane moments, are gifts. Childhood goes by so quickly, and many of us parents get annoyed hearing, "You're going to miss this". However, none of us expect that we won't get a chance at another moment with our child.

Hold Them Tight is a movement to empower parents to be present, to learn from our loss, and not miss a moment. Yes, parenting is exhausting, and the hardest thing you will do, but it is also the most important, refining, most beautiful thing you will ever GET to do.

We hope our clothing line will act as a reminder of why we do this, and not to take a single moment for granted.

A percentage of each item sold will also go toward helping other families affected by infant loss, and give them an opportunity to be able to burry their child.

Thank you for being a part of this movement with us!

God bless you!
